04 / How Bud uses AI

A fleet with rules.

Bud runs 30+ custom Grok bots. He calls them seats. Each seat owns one job and has written rules. A human approves anything that leaves the building. Nothing gets invented to fill a gap.

He is a big Orson Scott Card fan. His model for AI is Jane from the Ender books: a mind that lives in the network and works beside you.

He doesn't wait for the app.

07 / What he teaches his kids

    Compounding in all things

1.01365 ≈ 37.8. Get one percent better a day for a year and you end up nearly 38 times better. That is the whole lesson. Compounding in all things.

    1. i.

      Compound everything.

Skills, fitness, family, work. Small and daily beats big and once.
    2. ii.

Stick with it when it's hard.

The hard stretch is where most people quit. So that is where the gains are.
    3. iii.

Quick to learn. Hard to kill.

The family line. New tools every month. The same work ethic every day.
    4. iv.

      Builders, not browsers.

The other family line. Make the thing instead of scrolling past it.
    5. v.

      Miles, not minutes.

Keep showing up. Pace is optional.
